Adult Forum: Life Takes Wings
Captain Lynn Rippelmeyer will narrate a slide show, “I Can Help with That” depicting her journey from farm girl to pilot; flight attendant to captain; dream to reality while living her philosophy of “The more you give, the more you get.” Lynn’s story traces her achievement as the first female 747 pilot in her book Life Takes Wings. Her second book, Life Takes Flight, describes her continuing adventures establishing a charity on Roatan, an island off the coast of Honduras. All proceeds from book sales on this Sunday will be donated to Northwoods Church. (At noon in the Garden Room.)
Food on the First
This Sunday we will collect nonperishable foods for the local food bank. Donated food must be nonperishable: cereal, pasta, oatmeal, canned goods, granola bars, beans, rice, etc. The food bank does not accept perishable foods (bread, fruits, veggies, etc.) If you would like to make a monetary donation, drop your donation in the collection plate, or you can donate online or by text – text your donation amount and the word “food” to 844-328-9670. Remember: We take food collections all month. Bring in a nonperishable item and drop it in the basket anytime you think about it.
Religious Education
Children of all ages will stay in the sanctuary for a service for all ages presented by the Youth of Northwoods.

Options for Younger Children

Children age 2-3 years of age can be dropped off in our childcare room for Chalice Children activities, or families can watch the service from the Family Room. Families are also welcome to keep young children at the front of the sanctuary in the Wee Worship.
