First Amendment Choir Practice
The First Amendment Choir is a public-facing group dedicated to expressing conscience, witness, and peaceful protest through song. Participants are welcome to bring their voices and/or any instruments they feel moved to share. Music has long been a powerful tool for moral courage, solidarity, and collective expression, and this group is rooted in nonviolence, care for one another, and the protection of fundamental freedoms.
In addition to musical participants, we are actively seeking non-musical participants, especially for protest. These roles may include presence, sign-holding, logistical support, or simply standing in visible solidarity. No musical experience is required—only a willingness to show up peacefully and together.
Meeting: Tuesdays at 6pm in the Garden Room.

Sara Van Buskirk is a singer songwriter from Houston, Texas whose work is known for raw, commanding vocals, emotional depth, and vivid lived-in storytelling. Sara is a strikingly gifted songwriter and musician whose sound resonates with raw emotion, vivid storytelling, and haunting melodic textures.
