Pledging to Northwoods

 

Each year our Board of Trustees proposes an operating budget for Northwoods based on the pledges we’ve made to this community. And every pledge matters! The big ones and the small ones because taken together our pledges pay our staff, run the lights and A/C, buy teaching supplies for religious education—and keep the coffee pot full, among other things.

And our pledges allow us to reach out beyond our walls to make a difference in the larger community and the world.

Online Donations and Payments

Donations and payments to Northwoods can be made online:

  • One time or recurring pledge payments
  • Rental payments.
  • Program support: Afghan relief, Sanctuary, Share the Plate, Food on the First, and Minister’s Discretionary donations, KIVA, scholarship contributions.
  • Other payments: Art purchases, Service Auction payments

Before making online pledge payments, please complete a Pledge and Adjustment form so your pledge can be included for budgeting purposes.

If you would like to make changes to an existing recurring donation, please contact the office (office@northwoodsuu.org).

If you are making a donation to the discretionary fund in honor of someone or in celebration of a milestone, accomplishment, or event, please indicate the reason for the donation in the box on the donation page.

 

 

Online Donations

 

 

 

Donations by Text

We can now make donations to Northwoods by text. Simply send a text to 832-637-6562 (Northwoods’ text donation number) with the amount you want to give. The first time you text a donation, you will be asked to enter your information on Vanco’s secure site where it will be saved, so you won’t have to enter it again.

Donations default to the General Operating Fund, but if you want to give to a specific fund, for example Share the Plate, add the code after the amount. To see a list of codes for the funds available for text giving, send the message “funds” to the Northwoods’ text donation number above.

Currently the funds are:

STP for Share the Plate
Food for Food on the First donations  
Sanctuary for donating to our Sanctuary Support Fund
Pledge for your pledge account
MDF for the Minister’s Discretionary Fund

If no fund is specified, the donation will go into the General Fund. Fund codes are not case sensitive, but you do have to watch out for auto-correct.
