Anti-Racism Fall Topics

Our book this month for the Antiracism Book Group is Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler. The book seems more prescient today than it did in 2005 when it was written, but Butler once said, “I do not write to predict—I write to warn!”

The Northwoods Anti-Racism Book group will has planned the October, November, and December meetings:

• Thursday, October 20, via zoom: We will be discussing The Parable of the Sower, by Octavia Butler, led By David Shontz.
• November 17th: We will discuss Sing, Unburied, Sing: by Jesmyn Ward, led By Nancy Stamilio
• December 15th: We will choose the next set of books.
