Election Week Events
Tuesday Nov. 3: Election Night Check-Ins (7 pm and 9 pm on Zoom) Rev. Sarah will be in the “sanctuary” Zoom (the same link we use for worship) at 7 pm and 9 pm Tuesday evening for any who would like to check-in or talk about the events of the day. Wednesday Nov. 3: Build an Altar/Light a Candle/Leave a Message (2-6 pm, Northwoods Parking Lot) Throughout the afternoon and evening of Nov. 4, I will be at Northwoods supervising a series of stations that folk can use to create images, art, and messages to add to our outdoor “parking lot altar,” which we will incorporate into our online vigil, along with some of the prayers and messages you have left there. I hope you will come by to light a candle and add your voice, whether it is a voice of lamentation or of hope, and then join me on Zoom at 7 pm for our online vigil. Wednesday Nov. 3: Northwoods Vigil for The Nation (7-8 pm on Zoom) Regardless of the election outcome (which may still be unclear at this point), we will need each other; we will want to be together. Join Rev. Sarah and your Northwoods community in our Zoom “sanctuary” as we witness to this moment together. (Zoom link and meeting ID are the same as for worship services.) Thursday Nov. 4: National Post-Election Vigil & Community Gathering: This is a public event for all UUs and UU-adjacent folks, sponsored by the Unitarian Universalist Association and Side With Love campaign. (Zoom information can be found on event link.)
