Our Vision

Northwoods is a religious community where each person is encouraged to pursue his/her own spiritual journey.  Some of our members refer to Northwoods as a "refuge of reason", and yet it is much more.  It is the place where we develop heartfelt connections with others in our religious community.  It is a touchstone that empowers us to go out into the greater community to serve those in need.  We are an institution of free religious thought in our community.  We provide space in our church for people from diverse backgrounds who wish to share our religious vision.

Providing an environment for intellectual stimulation and spiritual growth.
Holding regular Sunday worship services that reflect our diverse beliefs and interests.
Providing religious education and social activities for all ages.
Being active in our local, national, and global communities in the areas of social justice, the environment, and human rights, focusing on issues relevant to our communities.
Maintaining a caring environment in which the congregation fosters supportive and meaningful relationships through church activities.
