Drum Circle
Just Beat It!  Join the Drum Circle the third Saturday of each month at 7:00pm.  The Northwoods Drum Circle is one of the longest running drum circles in the Houston area.  It is open to everyone.  The beating of percussion instruments has been an important part of many cultures around the world, whether the goal of drumming is spiritual or just plain fun.

Women's Book Club
The Women's Book Club meets the first Saturday of each month.  They go to lunch at noon after the book discussion.  Contact Shirley scwlocke@comcast.net for more information.

Quest Gruups (aka Small Group Ministry)
Groups of six to ten members meet twice a month and are guided by trained facilitators. The meeting format includes a chalice lighting and sharing time. A discussion topic (common to all Gruups) is introduced by a reading covering such issues as values, ethics, religious beliefs, UU Principles, etc. Membership is closed for a period and then opens to new members approximately every three months. The Gruups are asked to offer a service project to the church or larger community periodically.  Additional information can be obtained by contacting the
Quest Qruup Steering Committee.

Circle of Friends
is a group of women that meet on the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month at the church in the Garden Room at 10:00 to 11:30. We provide a nurturing, friendly and safe environment of trust for each other. It is our intent to encourage sharing of both the comfortable and uncomfortable aspects of our lives, to accept each other and listen in a heartfelt manner at all times. We have fun, laughter and go to lunch after our meeting.  Contact: Maxine DeVries at 936-856-8974 or email maxdemax@suddenlink.net

Blue Mountain Center of Meditation Fellowship Group
The Blue Mountain Center of Meditation meets in the Northwoods Church sanctuary from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. every Tuesday. Following the Eight-Point Program developed by Sri Eknath Easwaran, a teacher and author schooled in both Eastern and Western traditions, this welcoming group of mediators provides spiritual companionship for the practice of passage meditation and the allied living disciplines. The approach is nondenominational, nonsectarian, and free from dogma and ritual. It can be used within each person's own cultural and religious background to relieve stress, heal relationships, release deeper resources, and realize one's highest potential. Please contact Hallie Moore at 281-363-2407 with any questions.
