How to Get Involved
While the Sunday experience is central to Northwoods, there are many small groups, activities, and church-wide events throughout the year that also help people with similar interests to connect with and learn from each other. Examples of these groups include the Blue Mountain Meditation Group, the Drum Circle, three book groups, the Circle of Friends, the Medical Needs Support Group, a Men’s Group, wUUhUU Young Adults’ Group, YRUU teen group, Dharma Group, and many more.
The church is also made up of a number of ministries and committees that help to nourish both the Northwoods community and the larger community. Examples include Stewardship, Lay Ministry, Knitting Ministry, Endowment, adult religious education, Northwoods Green, and several choirs and musical groups, among others.
These groups and ministries welcome new members and volunteers, who will find that they are enriched by the camaraderie and by the spirit of giving.
